The Painful Side Effect of Excessive Self-Gratification – Can Masturbation Cause Headaches?

Posted on September 26, 2021 By prsr-admin

We’ve spoken quite a bit about the perils of Sexual Exhaustion. For men, the threat of impotence and hair loss is enough to put your sexual habits in check. However, for the rest of the guys who aren’t worried about that yet, it may surprise you to hear one of the symptoms of excessive Self-Gratification is the common headache. But really, is it that hard to believe that one head is responsible for the pain of the other.

Heading Around

The rear brain is the major site for the norepinephrine and epinephrine nervous systems — the chemical means to send messages around your noggin. It is here that’s also the second major area for the dopamine=>norepinephrine=>epinephrine conversion, next to the adrenal medulla. So what does this all mean?

While you’re getting hot and heavy, whether from sex or your secret trysts with the latest issue of Playboy (right, you get it for the articles), your body is sending dopamine to your noodle to let it know it’s excited. During this process, the dopamine is being converted to epinephrine through a series of cycles. Epinephrine, also known as adrenaline, turns out to be one of the major hormones responsible for raising your blood pressure and giving you that rush experienced with sex. In men, this means an erection of your penis. For woman, the clitoris and corresponding sexual tissues become engorged with blood, becoming more sensitive. “Houston, we have liftoff!”

Orgasm and ejaculation triggers the sympathetic ‘Fight’ and stress responses via the dopamine-epinephrine (adrenaline – the stress neurohormone) conversion. With a low level of the serotonin nervous modulation on the dopamine-adrenaline conversion, the excessive adrenaline production sets the body on fire and blocks the acetylcholine and hGH/DHEA/androstenedione action on the synthesis of the hormone Prostagladin E-1.

Prostaglandin E-1 is responsible for the relaxation and elasticity of the tissues in your body. Therefore, the lack of it coupled with the excess adrenaline binding into the alpha receptor sites in the blood vessels, ligaments, and joints, are responsible for your experiences of tightness, tension, and constriction — resulting in pains and cramps locally. These are also the same mechanics involved in stress related pains. The neck and shoulders are the most critical spots for this problem since they are adjacent to the rear brain where the dopamine-adrenaline conversion occurs. While adrenaline may give you a rush, it will have its harmful side effects. All this results in quite a head full of problems.

More Than Just a Head Full

Pains from the extra adrenaline from sexual exhaustion aren’t just centered on the brain. Another critical spot for orgasmic stress pains and cramps is the tissues in the pelvic cavity – the low back, tailbone, low abdomen, groins or sex organs (the penis, testicles, clitoris, vagina and ovaries). Due to their adjacencies to the adrenal glands/testicles (ovaries) and the abundance of the neurohormone and sexual hormone (hGH/DHEA/progesterone/androstenedione/testosterone (estrogen) receptors, the area can be a great source of pain.

With a low level of the serotonin nervous modulation, the adrenal medullas perform excessive dopamine-adrenalin conversion, injects excessive adrenalin into the bloodstream and suspend the DHEA production in the adrenal cortexes, resulting in deficiency of DHEA/androstenedione/testosterone in the local tissues, upon orgasm or/and ejaculation. This is one of the reasons your privates feel sore after sex.

Again, the prostaglandin E-1 production in the tissue drop down to zero, the tissues, muscles, ligaments, and joints around and in the pelvic cavity become rigid. You will feel as if they’re “heavier”, inflexible and inelastic, even causing pains and cramps.

Excessive adrenaline in the adrenal medullas triggers the excessive production of cortisol in the adrenal cortexes. Consequently, cortisol floods and inhibits the central nervous system, hypothalamus, and anterior pituitary. Excessive cortisol induces initial Euphoria followed by subsequent depression and then lower the threshold for seizure activity, resulting in the instability of the brain.

Diet as well has a lot to be responsible for when it comes to headaches and body aches. Caffeine is by far the biggest culprit. As a powerful drug, it can be a double-edged sword. We all know what a kick it can give you in the morning and that extra jolt if you need to stay awake. A low dose of caffeine helps turn on the brain’s dopamine system to power erections and orgasms but too much caffeine for a long period of time will drive the sympathetic nervous function to overpower the parasympathetic nervous function responsible for erection and lasting longer.

Pushing the dopamine levels in your brain into overdrive, caffeine sends extra adrenaline into your system. This is why those few extra espressos give you a head rush and the shakes. It helps the brain convert too much dopamine into epinephrine (adrenaline, the stress hormone for a “fight or flight” action). As a result, you have too many stress hormones in your brain, neck and shoulder area. You may get headaches and neck/shoulder pains.

Of course, you will have a high level of adrenaline in your bloodstream and neurons to block the acetylcholine action that is essential for the nervous communication. You can expect there to be a nervous communication problem from your brain/spinal cord S2-S3 to your the penis. Compounded with the effects from excessive self-gratification, your body could really be taking its toll.

Heading in the Right Direction

Reducing stress and your caffeine intake may not be enough if you experience headaches on a regular basis. Excessive Self-Gratification and sex induce the same physical affects to your body to create the knocking in your noggin. Cutting back on your sexual habits may help. However, sometimes due to old age or an imbalance of your body, you may still have low amounts of serotonin.

Serotonin keeps your adrenaline production in check. Besides improving your diet, a supplement such as DopaFibra will aid in putting back the lost serotonin, dopamine, and other hormones lost through the excess of sex or diet. Along with replenishing these needed nutrients, it also aids the body in its own production of these and returning the body’s own hormone balance. Reducing mood swings, stress, anxiety, fatigue, and pain may just be as easy as taking a pill.
